MHX came right out when we called about having dampness in our basement and believing there was an issue with the exterior stucco wall leaking. Kyu was honest and fair priced. He didn't want to have us do anything we didn't need to but went the extra mile to do a few little extras we were in need of and asked for. The crews that came out to seal the exterior and interior were hard working into the dusk as we were racing against Mother Nature. They cleaned everything up and, just like scouts, left no trace. Our 30 year old house had a stucco front that had been painted over twice in it’s lifetime and looked aged and dirty. After interviewing several other contractors, some with equally good reviews, we settled on MHX Designs. They worked with us patiently, to come up with material options, colors and suggestions for replacement of the stucco. After a couple of false-starts that were purely our fault due to life happening, we got on the books for a scheduled start date. MHX Designs was actually able to begin a little early, so they contacted us, we confirmed, and the work began promptly. Then reality set in. Immediately upon removing the stucco, water damage was found and it was extensive. Involving the framing, from top to bottom, and insulation. MHX Designs was able to allocate the manpower needed and provided the expertise to perform the repairs, both outside and inside, that were necessary, and get the damage mitigated. From there, despite some design alterations that we asked about, the worked progressed steadily to completion. In particular, Angel and the team that installed our Azek entryway, added some flourishes that really made the front of the house stand out. Overall, Qyu and Mark were very responsive to our communications, which was something new to us from our past experience with contractors, and did a great job of keeping us appraised of the progress or any hiccups that came up. There crew was always professional and willing to answer any questions we had during the work. If they did not know the answer, they found someone who did in short order. We are very happy with the outcome of the project and have no reservation about recommending MHX Designs.

What started out as getting a quote to have the gutters on my home replaced, turned into a complete remodel/renovation of the exterior of my home, which included: a new metal roof, new front door/molding/stonework, new porch posts, new post wraps, installing a Trex porch fence/railing, repairing the fascia around my porch, installing new soffit and capping, installing new capping/weather stripping and jambs around my garage doors, and installing new gutters/downspouts on the entire house. Kyu, and everyone at this company was professional and easy to work with, including Claudio and Mark, who helped coordinate different parts of our project. There are a few things that really stuck out to me in working with Kyu and his team. Responsiveness – any call, email, text, question, or issue, was responded to, quickly and professionally, including even when Kyu was on vacation. Diligence – if Kyu said he would be at my house at a certain time and day, he was there, and on time. If he said a person or crew was coming on a certain time and day, they were there, and on time (if not early). I was updated throughout the project regarding materials delivery dates/delays, and start dates of the different phases. The timeline for our project was adhered to as laid out in our contract as well. Quality – I was impressed throughout the project at the quality of the work and the different team’s craftsmanship, specializing in different aspects of the project. The work all turned out beautifully – there are some very talented people at this company. Value – I got 6 quotes for the gutter work, and 4 for the home remodeling work. MHX Designs quote aligned exactly with what I expected and was very fair, especially in today’s market. There is also no gimmicks or hidden fees/costs which I had seen other contractors try to sneak in. I was honestly kind of dreading having this major, but needed, project done at my home. I feel lucky to have found this company, and couldn’t have been more surprised and pleased with how easy this project turned out to be on my end. TLDR; MHX Designs performed an outstanding exterior renovation of my parents' old house. Their workmanship is absolutely beautiful and everyone on their team takes great pride in their work. Even our neighbors noticed the quality of the siding, windows, and chimney work. We chose MHX Designs to renovate the exterior of my parents' 30-year-old house. The siding, windows, and trim all needed to be replaced. The chimney needed repairs and stucco resurfacing. This was a very big job that required careful planning and coordination. MHX Designs met with me and explained in detail all the different types of repairs that would be needed, the approximate timeline, the different types of window/siding products, and any potential unforeseen repairs that may be needed. We interacted extensively with Q Om, before, during, and after the renovation job. Q also identified some additional minor repairs that we had not noticed before. The cost and scope of each aspect of the job was explained in great detail in their quote, which also included a very helpful graphical model of what the final product would look like. After we signed the contract, Q kept me up-to-date on the manufacturing of all the replacement hardware, along with updates on when the work would commence. In the end, MHX actually started the job (and concluded) a bit earlier than anticipated. The on-site teams were led by Claudio, Angel, Abenamar, and Mark, with Q managing the overall project. The renovations went very smoothly, including some minor repairs that were anticipated given the age and pre-existing damage to some of the siding. The entire MHX team communicated frequently and made sure that we were happy with every step of the job. Our house was brought up to modern building codes, with more energy-efficient windows. Q promised that we would be happy with the final renovation, and he and his team delivered on this promise! I would recommend MHX Designs without hesitation or reservation.
